Bruce is an independent design and planning consultant with a strong personal commitment to sustainable design and the creation of buildings/plans with a strong sense of place.
His portfolio exhibits a diverse body of work with an expertise in higher education, international schools, civic projects, performance facilities, and multi-family housing. In Addition, Bruce has experience with comprehensive master planning design. Located in twenty countries, five continents and sixteen states, these projects strive to contribute to each individual culture and, ultimately, to inspire their users and communities.
His deep knowledge of the history of architecture and design provides a broad range of thoughtfully reconsidered design precedent on which to draw for efficient, thorough, and and appropriate design solutions. Bruce has taught architectural design and history and is active as an architectural juror/mentor.
Bruce attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Fine Arts where he earned a Masters Degree in Architecture. Prior to his architectural career, he also earned a Bachelor of Music Degree (Performance) from Ball State University, leading to a ten year career as Principle Horn in selected American symphony orchestras.
